CNN featured the work of Not In Our School in their May 8 piece, "Bullying by peers has effects later in life." In the article, author Ashley Strickland writes that bullying "can no longer be considered a rite of passage that strengthens character."

When you hear the words identity safety, you might immediately think it has something to do with “identity theft.” Identity theft refers to when someone steals your name and financial identity, so you can no longer use your credit cards or fully function as yourself. How would it affect you psychologically to have your identity stolen? Uncertain, defensive, afraid to trust?

Five lucky Not In Our School (NIOS) middle school students were included in the May 4 press conference as Stephen Curry was named Most Valued Player for the National Basketball Association (NBA). These students were chosen for their NIOS leadership at their Bay Area schools.
