Countering Hate & Bias is a professional learning community interactive workshop series designed as an informational support network for educators who want to create identity affirming classrooms.
Across the country, students and teachers are sharing stories, joining together and taking action to create safe schools free from bullying, stereotypes, intolerance and hate. They are part of a movement called Not In Our School. For more than a decade, NIOS has inspired students of all ages to develop and share innovative ways to resist bullying and promote an atmosphere of acceptance and inclusion. The NIOS videos, activities and resources showcase the immense capacity, energy and creativity of young people who are making their schools safe for everyone.
We invite educators in NIOT communities to join us for a FREE monthly series of professional development workshops to share strategies for starting a NIOS cohort in your school and building a culture of inclusion and belonging in the classroom.
How can teachers support their students in standing up to hate and bias in school and in their daily lives? Join us and find out how!
