Watch a new film every day in October during bullying prevention month! Not In Our School is excited to present our first BULLYING PREVENTION MONTH ONLINE FILM FESTIVAL! For each day of the month we will launch a new short film about standing up to bullying and intolerance that can be found on niot.org at the site of the film festival, and will also be posted to the NIOS Facebook page. The festival includes a range of films that showcase the incredible energy and enthusiasm of young people taking a stand against bullying, anti-gay bigotry, and all forms of hate. Some films are NIOT originals, while others are made by youth speaking out in a wide variety of creative ways. Each week the films will be centered around the following themes:

Not In Our Town toured through the Detroit area screening the film "Waking in Oak Creek" and meeting with local anti-intolerance organizations, law enforcement, and educational institutions to talk about community empowerment.

Four years ago, on August 5th, a deadly hate attack shattered the lives of the Sikh community in Oak Creek, WI, but not their resilience. After six worshippers were killed by a white supremacist, the mayor, police chief and community members were awakened and transformed by the Sikh spirit of relentless optimism: Chardhi Kala.

Mourning the violence and division after devastating killings in Texas, Minnesota, and Louisiana, Not In Our Town communities took immediate steps to come together to talk and find ways to heal.
