Dozens of neighbors in San Francisco gathered for a fundraiser to support a family who lost their home in a possible hate crime. Terry Williams, a beloved dog walker, and his elderly parents faced racist threats before their home was set on fire. While Terry met with city leaders about the incidents, his parents were at home during the blaze, sustaining injuries and requiring medical treatment.

Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month recognizes the rich contributions of AAPI communities to the fabric of American society. Not in Our Schools supports the opportunity for education, fostering understanding, and promoting inclusivity by acknowledging the significance of AAPI experiences, achievements, and challenges.

Not In Our Town was in Providence, RI in March 2024 to begin an exciting collaboration with state, local, and civil rights groups to bolster anti-hate awareness and community engagement.

Across the country, students and teachers are sharing stories, joining together, and taking action to create safe schools, free from stereotypes, intolerance, and hate. Not In Our School has inspired students of all ages to develop and share innovative ways to resist bullying and promote an atmosphere of acceptance and inclusion.    As communities recognize Women’s History Month, Not In Our School continues to support initiatives that build community, foster allyship, and escalate solidarity.
