Where: The Silent March departs from Dixie Elementary School, 1175 Idylberry Road, San Rafael, CA and ends at Old Dixie Schoolhouse Museum, 2255 Las Gallinas Ave. The length of the parade is two miles downhill on sidewalks.
We quietly walk together for racial justice and a name change for Dixie School District. Some of us walk for community unity. Some of us walk for Live Oak Valley Elementary (LOVE) School District. Dixie School Board will vote on March 19, 2019 on whether to change the name of Dixie School District to Live Oak Valley Elementary (LOVE) School District.

Featuring an evening public screening of the film, Light of the Darkness, by Not In Our Town. This film tells the story of how a town came together after an incident of anti-immigrant violence. The screening will be followed by a community discussion led by Patrice O'Neill, filmmaker and founder of NIOT.

Osher JCC Marin

The Osher Marin JCC joins with Canal Alliance and Not in Our Town to present an evening dedicated to combatting hate and intolerance in Marin. The evening will begin with a candlelight vigil followed by a film screening of Light in the Darkness, a panel discussion with local community leaders, and opportunities for audience questions, stories and discussion.
