April 21 NYU Talk on The Demands of Tolerance
Not In Our Town has been invited to be part of NYU Abu Dhabi’s lecture series, The Demands of Tolerance. This year-long lecture series probes the complexities and modalities of tolerance, not solely as a matter of individual virtue but as a social and political challenge.
"Against Intolerance" will take place on April 21 from 6:30-8:00 PM at 19 Washington Square North, Events Space. John Shattuck President and Rector, Central European University and Faye Ginsburg, Professor of Anthropology and Director of the Center for Media, Culture & History, NYU will also participate in Against Intolerance.
Good Pitch May 20 in New York
Of more than 250 applicants, Not In Our Town is honored to be one of the eight film teams chosen to participate in Good Pitch. The Good Pitch brings together filmmakers with NGOs, foundations, philanthropists, brands and media around leading social issues – to forge coalitions and campaigns that are good for all these partners, good for the films and good for society. The Good Pitch, sponsored by Channel4 BRITDOC Foundation in partnership with the Sundance Film Institute Documentary Film Program is going into its third year of international events and it continues to build momentum. We will be at the first Good Pitch that will take place at the Ford Foundation in New York City on May 20.
